The Yaletown Business Improvement Association announced the eighth annual Taste of Yaletown (Oct. 17 – 27th, 2012) which offers guests an exclusive three-course tasting menu for set prices of $25, $35 and $45. (Menus online here)
Taste of Yaletown 2012 offers food and drink lovers the chance to experience tastes and sips from the city’s best, including Glowbal Grill, George Lounge, New Oxford,Hamilton Street Grill, Society, Yaletown L’Antipasto, Caché Bistro, Killjoy, and Minami
Many Vancouverites were the first to sample this year’s offering at the Taste of Yaletown Premiere held atMINI Yaletown.
Yaletown’s top executive chefs rolled out the VIP carpet for guests, offering the inside culinary scoop, exclusive take-home recipe cards and samples of feature Taste of Yaletown menu items.
The food festivities continue this week with Shake Up Yaletown, which will be held Thursday (Oct. 25, 2012) at Minami. Tickets are $30.
The best bartenders in Yaletown will be competing in Shake Up Yaletown, using a Bacardi rum as the base spirit.
Teams from Glowbal, New Oxford and several others will blend premium ingredients with the base spirit to create concoctions worthy of cocktail connoisseurs.
A portion of profits from each participating restaurant will be donated to The Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
